Bringing JOY to VA childhood cancer and chronic illness families through an annual toy drive!

What is Meg's Giveback?

Meg has been doing toy drives since December of 2016. Meg’s family has worked with friends and family and supporters online to make so many kids’ holiday seasons brighter. Meg has done multiple deliveries to our local hospital, Inova L.J. Murphy Children’s hospital. Meg does an annual Holiday and Christmas in July delivery. Giving back to kids in the hospital during the holidays is very important to Meg considering she was one of those kids on Christmas day in 2015.

Meg’s family did this as their “family mission” for 4 years. And her efforts are now known as a program under the 501c3 "Our Amazing Fighters.”

“Meg’s Giveback” is dedicated to giving back to kids with cancer and spreading joy through toy drives. When Meg was gifted a sack of toys on Christmas day in 2015, something sparked in her and she knew she had to give back the same joy she has just received. So the following year Meg started her toy drives and has done it ever since.

Over the last two years Meg has been fighting chronic illness and as of 2024 plans to donate to chronically ill children as well. This is a new cause to Meg that is equally important.
